(KAIR) -- Five individuals filed for election public office Monday and two more filed Tuesday.
Four of those filings were for re-election to their respective positions.
According to the Atchison County Clerk’s office, Diane Liebsch and Dr. John Eplee filed for re-election to the USD 409 school board in Atchison and Mark Hurst for re-election to Effingham City Council and Tim Callahan filed for re-election for Mayor of Lancaster.
Rick Vanderweide has filed for the USD 377 school board in Effingham.
Candidates have until January 22nd at noon to file.
