POSITION OVERVIEW - MSC Radio Group is seeking a passionate, energetic, and organized full-time Sports Broadcaster to provide year-round coverage of local high school athletics across our six locally owned stations: KAIR, KNZA, KMZA, KOZA, KLZA, and KTNC as well as five online live sports video streaming channels, robust MSC Sports website and social media accounts.   

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Play-by-Play Broadcasting • Broadcast live games across all seasons including: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball • Provide energetic, professional, and accurate play-by-play coverage • Represent MSC Radio Group professionally in the community 

2. Daily & Weekly On-Air Sports Content • Produce daily local sports reports • Host weekly coaches shows • Conduct athlete and coach interviews 

3. Digital & Online Sports Coverage • Update website with: Schedules & Scores Game recaps & Features Player spotlights • Maintain and grow sports-related social media accounts • Assist with streaming content as needed and sports promotions 

4. Print & Preview Content • Write stories for seasonal preview magazines • Produce team previews and in-depth features 

5. Production & Studio Support • Assist with commercial and show production • Record and edit audio content • Support station programming needs as assigned, which may include live remote events and on-air or voice tracked shifts and other duties

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS • Deliver professional, high-energy broadcasts • Be highly organized with game schedules and coverage planning • Provide timely and accurate sports updates • Grow digital engagement around local sports content • Strengthen MSC’s brand as the region’s sports leader • Maintain strong relationships with coaches, athletic directors, and schools
