(KAIR) -- The two candidates vying for the third district seat of Atchison County Commissioners November 6th squared off Monday night as part of a forum sponsored by the Atchison Chamber of Commerce.
Republican nominee Henry W. “Bill” Pohl and Democratic nominee Mary Perkins discussed various issues, ranging from administration to economic development and tourism, holding similar positions for each.
One of the key points of the forum included their perspectives on the idea of government consolidation between the county and the city of Atchison.
Perkins was up first, addressing the question.

The forum also featured candidates for Atchison County Sheriff and Register of Deeds, Kansas Senate and Kansas House.
