An Atchison woman will be an at-large delegate at the Democratic National Convention this September in Charlotte.
Sidwell Jones was one of six women and five men elected Saturday by the Kansas Democratic State Committee.
They were selected from over 50 candidates after hearing two hours of speeches.
In addition to the eleven at-large delegates, the State Committee also selected five party leader and elected official (PLEO) delegates as well as the Kansas Democratic National Committeeman and Committeewoman.
The Democratic National Committeeman and Committeewoman will begin their service after the conclusion of the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
