Herrig to have Republican Challenger for Sheriff
06/01/2012

Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig will have a primary challenger in the race for his office.

Meriden resident David Christy will square off with Herrig for Sheriff in August.

That’s because it will be a quiet primary race in Jefferson County as there are no Democrats that have filed for major county offices.

The only other challenged race is for Second District County Commissioner as Kyle Brown of Grantville will square off against Wayne Ledbetter of Perry on the Republican ticket.

Current Commissioner Roy Dunnaway is not seeking re-election.
