(KAIR) -- As harvest finishes up, what was once a common family farming event takes center stage Sunday to keep the tradition alive.
The 21st annual corn shucking contest will take place at 11 at the Charles Schletzbaum farm on Morton road, a half mile north of the Saint Louis Church in Atchison County.
Former National Champion corn shucker Bob Staley says there will be several noted shuckers there.

Staley says there will also be a “Shuckin’ for the Bucks” contest.

There will also be a division for children eight and up.
