(KLZA)-- In July the Falls City Council gave favorable comment to a special designated liquor license request during an adult softball tournament at the Fiedler Family Ball Complex.
During Monday nights meeting Pastor John Hogue from the 1st United Methodist Church in Falls City and the Trinity United Methodist Church at Rulo said he did not think it was a good idea. He said it is not a good lesson for young people and said there are liability and safety issues to consider. Rev. Bill Shipman suggested alcohol not be served on public property. He said if groups want to raise money in this way they should use private property, not city property.
