No Applicants for Open NRD Board Seat
02/17/2014

(KTNC) --  No one has applied yet to fill an open seat on the Nemaha Natural Resources District Board of Directors. The open seat is in Sub-district 10, which is located entirely within the city limits of Falls City. The opening was created in December following the resignation of longtime board member Ted Godemann.
The Nemaha NRD Board will continue to accept application letters from interested individuals until the position is filled. The person appointed to fill the seat would serve until the end of the year.
NRD officials say as of February 13 there are a few board seats for which no candidate has filed to run in the upcoming primary or general election. Non-incumbents have until March 3 to get paperwork to the Secretary of State’s office in Lincoln. Incumbents have until Tuesday to file for re-election.
