(KAIR) -- Residents in Meriden and Ozawkie are looking to create a library district.
The Jefferson County Counselor approved the draft and a petition will now be circulated for signatures.
When the petitions are complete, they will be presented to Commissioners for sufficiency.
Meriden resident Randy Bomhoff also met with the board, asking for plan about the county’s obtaining a property in the Hickory Acres subdivision in a tax sale.
Commissioner Richard Malm says the property would likely be put up for public auction early next year.
