(KAIR) -- Atchison County's long-time appraiser is retiring.
Jim Lampe, who's been in the position for 15 years, will officially leave the post on June 30th.
Commissioner Jeff Schuele says Lampe brought a lot to the position during his tenure. (Play Audio)
Schuele says moving forward, turning the position into part-time will be examined on a trial basis. (Audio Continues)
Schuele adds many other counties have gone to part-time county appraiser's.
