Jeff Co Commission Considers Ambulance Substation Bids
02/29/2012

Jefferson County Commissioners will decide next week on the contractor to construct an ambulance substation in Meriden.

Commissioners opened 13 bids Monday in their regular meeting ranging from 169 thousand to just over 299 thousand dollars to construct the 40 by 60 foot building.

Commissioners also approved to annex land into rural water district number one following public hearing comment from rural water district attorney Quentin Kurtz.

Kurtz reported 88 percent of landowners supported the annex petition.

Commissioners also rescinded a motion to grant a conditional use permit to have a sand dredging operation that was approved January 23rd.

They will discuss the operation further on March 26th.
