Grizzle says the architects will help the district develop plans for improvements and give them an idea what those improvements would cost.
In other old business Monday night, the Pawnee City School Board approved a motion to use the Special Building Fund to pay for a sidewalk and fence project at the fitness building. The board also approved an insurance policy with EMC.
In the new business portion of the meeting, the board approved a contract with Hart Floors to sand and refinish the gym floor this summer.
The board approved a contract with Principal Don Jacobs for the next school year. The contract includes a two-and-a-half percent salary increase and a $50 per month cell phone stipend.
The board also approved a schedule change to make March 20th a “no school” day, so Pawnee City can host the MUDECAS Music Contest.
Grizzle says the board also got a presentation from sixth graders who will be competing this weekend in a State Lego Robotics Challenge. (play audio :29)
Two teams of 11 students each will represent Pawnee City at the competition, which will be held at the SAC Museum in Ashland.
