(KLZA)--Federal funding has been awarded for a new $3.5 million assisted living facility in Pawnee City.
USDA Rural Development announced Monday, in a press release, nearly $3.2 million in funding assistance for the project.
Around $100,000 of the funding is a grant, with the remainder in the form of two loans.
The Pawnee City Development Corporation will be provide $200,000 for the project, and more than $120,000 will come from donations.
The nearly 15,000 square foot facility will include 22 resident units and provide an additional 10 jobs to Pawnee City’s economy.
