(KLZA)--Authorities have released the names of two people killed Thursday night after two sport-utility vehicles collided in southeast Nebraska.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened shortly before 8:30 at the intersection of Nebraska Highway 105 and Spur 64B just west of Johnson.
The Sheriff’s Office says Deborah Wilson, of rural Johnson, was southbound on Highway 105 when her SUV collided with a westbound SUV on Spur 64B driven by
48-year-old Dunbar resident Cheri Wadkins that failed to yield the right of way.
Wadkins and her 55-year-old passenger, Brian Evans, also of Dunbar, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Wilson was taken to Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn with what was considered to be nonlife-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
