(KLZA)-- A two-car wreck sent an Oregon, Missouri woman to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Two cars were northbound on Interstate 29 about 5 miles southeast of Oregon, when a car driven by 83-year-old Shirley Davis, of Oregon, pulled into a blocked off driving lane and then attempted to merge back into the passing lane.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a car driven by 89-year-old Mary Carter, of Mound City, struck the rear of the Davis car.
Davis was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with what were described as moderate injuries. Mary Carter was not injured. Both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the wreck.
