(KAIR) -- Over 32 thousand dollars.
That’s the amount raised Friday night in Atchison County during their annual Relay for Life event to raise cancer awareness.
Chairwoman Kendra Myers says 16 teams with 194 participants walked around Atchison High School’s track and 47 survivors and approximately 60 caregivers attended the survivor’s dinner.
Myers says records were set in survivor turnout and registration.
In addition, 32 hundred dollars was raised during the live auction.
Top fundraising teams included Live Pink, Exchange Bank and Pop's Pack.
