(KTNC) - The drivers of two trucks were injured when their vehicles collided on a Richardson County road Tuesday.
According to the Richardson County Sheriff’s Department, the trucks met unexpectedly at the crest of a hill on 708 Road, a half mile east of the Pawnee-Richardson County Line near DuBois at around noon.
The driver of the westbound truck, 23-year-old Andrew Rogge of DuBois, sustained serious but non life-threatening injuries. He was transported initially by ambulance to the Pawnee County Hospital and was later taken by helicopter to another hospital. Rescue crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate Rogge from his vehicle.
The driver of the eastbound truck, 39-year-old Terry Bowhay of rural DuBois, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Pawnee County Hospital for treatment.
Both trucks were totaled.
The Pawnee County Sheriff’s Department and Humboldt Fire and Rescue assisted the Richardson County Sheriff’s Department at the scene of the accident.
