(KAIR) -- A former Jefferson County North alum and current Benedictine College student has been picked to sing the National Anthem prior to the annual Lakefest concert at Warnock Lake.
Sara Navinskey of Winchester will get the honor July 19th, prior to country music artists Lauren Alaina, Lee Brice and Gary Allan taking the stage later that night.
Amelia Earhart Festival Coordinator Jacque Pregont says the Festival Committee looks for local talent to get the honor.

Navinskey, a senior this fall at Benedictine College, is majoring in chemistry and secondary education and is a member of the college’s volleyball team.
The concert begins that night at seven.
