Few Vehicle Incidents Reported in Area Counties from Storm
12/21/2012

(KAIR) -- Despite the first winter storm of the season causing havoc on many area roads, very few road incidents were reported in Atchison and Jefferson Counties.

Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig says his department responded to a few slide offs, largely due to the period of white-out conditions in the storm.

He says Deputies also responded to two weather related non-injury accidents, one Thursday and one Friday morning.

Atchison Police report no vehicle incidents during the storm and Atchison County Sheriff John Calhoon says Deputies responded to a few slide offs, with damage ranging from none to minor.
