(KLZA) - It took only four minutes for the Falls City Council to conduct two public hearings, hear the Mayor’s report and act on requests from the Falls City Chamber of Commerce for the Christmas Window Opening event on Friday evening.
Mayor Tim Hersh thanked all those who ran for City Council positions earlier this month and congratulated those who won.
No one spoke during a pair of mid-project public hearings on the Downtown Revitalization Phase II Grant and the other on the Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation grand.
The Council approved the Chamber requests to set up the Santa House on the northeast corner of 17th and Stone Street and to use the streets for horse drawn sleigh rides on Friday. Santa will arrive at 6:30 p-m. The sleigh rides will begin at 5 p-m on the northwest corner of 17th and Stone Street.
