(KAIR) -- Atchison County Commissioners have learned the recommendations from their consultant on what type of health insurance benefits should be provided for employees in 2013.
County Commissioner Jeff Schuele says Hays Inc. recommended staying with the state plan.

Schuele says Commissioners hope to work with Hays in improving health policy in the near future.

Commissioners will meet with Hays on October 8th and hope to tentatively vote on the plan next week.
Around 45 minutes of the meeting was dedicated to continued discussion on solid waste and recycling bids.
A vote on choosing a provider is expected to take place next week.
Also, the public hearing on the 2013 budget will be Wednesday at 9:30 in the County Commission Room of the Law Enforcement Center in Atchison.
