Falls City Council Special Meetings set for Wednesday, Friday
08/22/2012

(KTNC) - The Falls City, City Council, has two special meetings scheduled over the final three days this week.
The council will meet at 5:30 Wednesday evening.  The only item on the agenda is the second reading of an ordinance to annex 160 acres into Falls City.
The council will meet again at 5:30 p.m. Friday.  The final reading of the annexation ordinance is part of the agenda for that meeting.
The council will then discuss suspending the first and second readings and approving the final reading of an ordinance pertaining to the National Flood Insurance Program.
Action is also scheduled on the appointment of Beth Sickel to the Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission.
The 160-acre site to be annexed into Falls City is located on the southwest edge of town.  The property’s owners, Reesman Investments and Towle Realty, have asked for the land to be annexed into Falls City.  The City Council unanimously approved the first reading of the annexation ordinance during its regular meeting Monday night.
