USD 409 Passes Budget
08/21/2012

(KAIR) -- The USD 409 school board only took 15 minutes in their special meeting to review and pass their 2012-13 budget Monday night.

After hearing no public comment, the board unanimously passed the budget, which will be an increase of around one-point-one-seven mills.

When asked by the board why there was a slight mill increase, school Superintendent Susan Myers says other funding sources they have relied on in the past have dried up.

Despite these funds drying up, 400 thousand dollars was still cut from this year’s budget, compared to last year.
