(KAIR) -- In less than 24 hours, the stage four water conservation alert for city of Atchison water customers has been lifted.
The call was made just after 8:30 Thursday morning by acting City Manager, Fire Chief Mike McDermed.
McDermed says crews had repairs made to the raw water intake pump by mid-day Wednesday.

They are back to two fully-functional pumps with the third being a functional rental.
McDermed says there were several factors that led to the prompt lifting of the order.

McDermed says the larger water customers, such as MGP Ingredients, were notified in advance and were back to full operation Wednesday night.
