The vacancy was created by the resignation of Brad Campbell who moved out of the fourth ward.  The current term of the open position goes until December, 2014.
The Council did approve on second reading an amendment to the specifications for sidewalk construction due to the Main Street Project.
The Council discussed a request for a carport at 1805 Huber Road from Cathy and Terry Crofford.  Their building permit application was denied due to setback requirements.  The Council voted to refer the request back to the Board of Adjustment for further review.
Council members also approved a change in the date for a special designated liquor license for the grand opening of D & R Raney Liquor at 2601 Harlan.  Originally the Council gave favorable comment to a June 16th date but Raney’s now want to hold the event June 30th.
City Administrator Gary Jorn also updated the Council on some expenditures at Prichard Auditorium   ( play audio  :42 seconds )
