The occupant of that apartment was given assistance from the Atchison area Red Cross and given food, supplies and housed in a local motel.
However, Graf says crews returned to the scene the next morning around seven to respond to a fire in the apartment next door.

Of the six units in the complex, three individuals were home and three were not.
Those three escaped without injury.
However, all were displaced because power had to be shut off to the complex.
The area Red Cross was on the scene to provide needs and lodging.
Graf says the occupants of the units without damage found other friends and relatives to stay with.
He says both fires remain under investigation.
