A section of highway 92 in central Jefferson County will soon have rumble bars.
Jefferson County Commissioners in their Monday meeting, after KDOT consultation, elected to put down rumble strips and new stop signs facing north and south at the intersection of Ferguson road and Highway 92.
Commissioners also accepted the low bid from Mast Construction for 169 thousand 655 dollars for an ambulance substation in Meriden, as well as a financial proposal for 1 point 77 percent financing 200 thousand dollars from the First State Bank of Perry to not exceed 10 years.
Commissioners accepted the annual fuel bid for road graders, the Valley Falls shop and unleaded fuel from Jackson Farmers Inc with a .0445 mark up.
They also voted two to one that employees Robert Chartier and Kevin Wynkoop would be allowed to opt out of direct deposit of their paychecks with Commissioner Mall voting against.
