(KLZA)-- For the first time, Falls City will take part in the “National Night Out” events Tuesday night which will include hot dogs, chips, cookies, demonstrations and a pool party.
The purpose of the nationwide event is to help build a community – police relationship by spending time together and to help educate the public about various programs.
Falls City residents and those who live in the surrounding area are invited to attend at the Falls City Aquatic Park. Beginning at 5 o’clock Tuesday evening hot dogs, chips, a drink and cookies will be served to those in attendance.
Starting at 6:30 various law enforcement and first responders groups will be providing demonstrations. Among the display items will be the State Patrol crash simulator, a railroad safety trailer, drug dog demonstrations as well as the Life Net helicopter. Most area law enforcement agencies, fire departments and first responders will be attending.
Beginning at 8 o’clock there will be free swimming that will last for two hours.
