(KTNC)--The next exhibit at Falls City’s Stalder Gallery features a well-known southeast Nebraska artist.
The exhibit will feature the works of Auburn native and current Brownville art gallery owner Mary Ann Chaney. Chaney will talk about the solo exhibition, titled “In Your Dreams,” at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 11. The gallery will open at 6:00 that evening so visitors can preview the art before the talk.
Chaney owns her own studio and gallery in Brownville, where she paints and sells works including contemporary landscapes, figurative and abstract art.
In addition to the Gallery Talk, Chaney will lead a workshop from 4:00 to 5:30 that Friday afternoon, open to anyone eight-years-old and up. Workshop attendees will complete painted portraits that will be part of a larger mosaic that will hang in the library for a while before being returned to the artists.
Since the library is closed on Fridays, an adult must accompany children age eight to 12 who participate in the workshop.
The Mary Ann Chaney exhibit will be at the Stalder Gallery until August 23.
