(KTNC) - The Falls City Library has three events planned Thursday, to celebrate National Library Week, which is this week. The week is meant to highlight the value of libraries, librarians, and library volunteers.
The Falls City Library programs Thursday include an afternoon presentation by University of Nebraska Entomologist Alexandra Harris. She’ll host a program for families, about bugs, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The program includes a number of products produced by insects, and attendees will be able to create their own insects. The program had been scheduled previously, but was postponed due to weather.
Children’s Librarian Dianne Hinz will have a program, celebrating libraries and books, for pre-school children age three and up, from 5:30 to 6:30 Thursday evening.
The final event will be a movie in the Stalder Gallery, with a showing of the 1951 comedy “People will Talk,” starring Cary Grant and Jeanne Crain. The movie begins at 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
All three programs are free to the public.
