(KAIR) -- A scenic array of flags from nations around the world will be on display Saturday morning in Atchison as part of the annual Parade of Flags and Induction Ceremonies at the International Forest of Friendship.
Committeewoman Diane Liebsch says they will induct new honorees to the Forest who have contributed to aviation or space.

The International Forest of Friendship was a gift to America on her 200th birthday in 1976 from the City of Atchison, the Ninety-Nines (International Organization of Women Pilots), and the University of Kansas Forestry Extension.
The Forest is nestled on a gentle slope overlooking Lake Warnock, on the outskirts of Atchison.
It is made up of trees from all fifty states and thirty-five countries around the world where the over 12 hundred Honorees reside.
Liebsch encourages children to attend and hold the flags from those places, beginning with registration at 8:30.
The children's program will run from nine until 11, with the Parade of Flags at 9:45.
The honoree induction will begin at 10.
