(KAIR) -- The former U.S. Army Storage facility in south Atchison is now available for lease.
That comes after a recent ownership group from Springfield, Missouri purchased the facility from the government in late April.
It’s now known as the “MO-KAN Underground Business Center.”
Over 530 thousand square feet of developed facilities are now available for lease.
Known as the “East Cave,” Coby Cullins says the space can be used for a variety of tenants.

Cullins says he’s already received positive feedback from the tours he’s given in his few weeks of ownership, largely due to its relatively safe structure.
So much so, he’s in the final stages of negotiating a business contract to bring in a large scale underground business for the “West Cave” portion of the facility, which is currently developed for storage.
Cullins says while details are still be finalized, it’s expected to bring in both construction and long-term jobs as part of a multi-million dollar investment projects.
He anticipates the deal to be finalized before the end of the month.
More information on the MO-KAN Underground Business Center can be found at their web site, www.mo-kan-underground.com.
