Falls City Council to Meet in New Council Chambers Monday Night

 (KLZA) The Falls City, City Council will meet at the new City Hall building at 2307 Barada Street Monday evening at 7 p-m.

Agenda items include a public hearing on a budget amendment for the Downtown Revitalization Phase II Grant. In other business discussion will be held on authorizing Mayor Tim Hersh to sign and submit a request for a 30-day project extension, budget amendment for Phase II of the Downtown Revitalization Project.

 Councilman Mike Dougherty has placed an item on the agenda requesting to remove the hiring freeze for the City of Falls City. 

A public hearing on the Time Warner Franchise will be held;  action is expected on a bid from Herzog Contracting Corporation in the amount of $65,550 for a Street Project.

Council members will discuss a request to place YIELD signs on McLean Street at the intersections of 18th and 19th Streets.

Various requests from the chamber of Commerce and Main Street Committee for the Cobblestone Festival, including a special designated license for a beer garden will be reviewed by the Council.

A second reading on an ordinance to change the time of the second Council meeting of each month to 6 p-m will be held.

 A number of Board appointments will also be discussed.
