Falls City Woman Accused of Stabbing Husband
04/19/2013

(KLZA) A Falls City woman is accused of stabbing her husband during a domestic dispute Thursday night.

Falls City Police officers responded to a disturbance call shortly after 10 o'clock at a home in the 800 block of Harlan Street.

Upon entering the home and being directed to a bedroom in the home they found 33-year-old Tiffany Gatz and her husband Damon Gatz.  Mr. Gatz was injured and there was a large amount of blood in the room.

A verbal argument between the Gatz’s allegedly became physical with Tiffany Gatz allegedly stabbing her husband several times in the head with a pocket knife before he was able to get the knife away from her.  She then allegedly grabbed a coffee cup and hit him.

Mrs. Gatz was combative when the officers attempted to arrest her.  She was subdued, cuffed and taken to the Richardson County Jail where she is facing possible charges of First Degree Domestic Assault and Assault With a Deadly Weapon.

The investigation is ongoing.

Damon Gatz was transported by ambulance to Community Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
