(KAIR) -- Downtown Atchison will illuminate in green Saturday afternoon for the 30th annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
It all starts with the serving of corned beef and cabbage at the Elk’s Club at 11 with the crowning of the Grand Marshal for the festivities, Karen Bell, at noon.
As for the parade, lineup for judging of entries begins at 12:30, with winners announced at one.
The parade will begin at 4th and Commercial at two.
As of late Friday morning, event Coordinator Janie Pickman says 62 entrants have been registered.
Registration is encouraged and will be allowed until the parade begins.
Following the parade, a pub crawl will begin after the parade trophy presentation at the Elk’s.
