(KLZA) The Falls City, City Council approved the Main Street Committee going forward with an application for a $30,000 Community Development Block Grant to continue with the Downtown Revitalization project. Main Street Director Eric Barr explained the application to the Council members. ( play audio :25 seconds )
City Administrator Gary Jorn noted the grant application is a requirement to keep the City eligible for the next $350,000 in grant monies that will be made available to selected projects. ( play audio :28 seconds )
In other business the Council approved the rental of Prichard Auditorium for a pair of wedding receptions and for alcohol to be served at those receptions on votes of 6-1 with Council Person Judy Murphy casting nay votes and Councilman Jim Wisdom absent.
