(KAIR) -- Many students at Benedictine College in Atchison will now have the opportunity to download an app to their iPhone in an effort to know what’s happening on campus.
Director of Marketing and Communications Steve Johnson says among the icons in the app, one includes a map of campus.

Casino started working on the project in 2011, and soon joined forces with the school’s marketing office, which helped finance the effort and offered advice and direction.
Johnson says there’s a hodgepodge of other information within the app.

The final product, which was approved by Apple on Monday, was developed to work with iPhones and iPads.
The next step will be to offer an upgrade that will include additional functionality and a format for the new iPhone 5, as well as the Android system.
