(KAIR) -- Nearly a full house of business leaders in the Atchison area went into the time machine Saturday night as part of the annual Atchison Chamber of Commerce Banquet.
“Rollin’ with the 50’s” was the theme of the evening where many businesses celebrating milestones were recognized.
Many other businesses were honored, including Business of the Year, awarded to Hundley Construction.
Owner Mike Hundley says he was very surprised when learning his business had won.

Also honored were the Atchison YMCA as Organization of the Year, D.J. Bruce, Owner of Willie’s Sports Bar as Entrepreneur of the Year, the Atchison Public Library as the Quality of Life Award Winner, Marlatt Construction, Tourism Award winner, Sadie Stone as Ambassador of the Year and the Benedictine College Hunger Coalition as Team of the Year.
Ginger Hunninghake was named Chamber Board Chair, replacing outgoing Chair Jerry Sanders.
