(KAIR) -- A hearing in the wrongful death lawsuits filed by the families of four of the six victims of the Atchison Bartlett Grain Elevator explosion has been re-scheduled.
The hearing was postponed Friday afternoon in Jackson County, Missouri Circuit Court until March 1st.
The families of Ryan Federinko, Chad Roberts, John Burke and Curtis Field filed the suit August 27th last year against now Bartlett President Bob Knief and unnamed Bartlett employees.
The families cite in the lawsuits that employees and Knief disregarded the safety and health of the workers.
Those four victims, along with grain inspectors Darrek Klahr and Travis Keil were killed in the explosion October 29th, 2011.
Bartlett has since been fined hundreds of thousands of dollars for safety violations by OSHA. Bartlett says they are in the process of fighting those fines.
