(KTNC) - The Pawnee City Board of Education selected its leaders for the year during this week’s meeting.
Terry Borcher was elected Board President; Rob Voigtlander was elected Vice President; Josh Glynn was elected Secretary; and Jerry Meyer was elected Treasurer. All board officers were elected unanimously.
The election of board officers followed after re-elected board members Voigtlander and Randy Niss took the oath of office.
The board unanimously approved board committee assignments for the year.
In action items, under new business, the Pawnee City School Board approved a contract, totaling $4,050, with Hart Floors for maintenance work on the gym floor this summer.
A motion was approved, 5-1, to provide the year-round classified staff with a cell phone stipend of $50 a month and to increase the full-time bus driver’s stipend to $25 a month.
In old business, the board approved the use of Depreciation Funds to pay an invoice from Kuhl Trenching for the track drainage project. The invoice amounted to $6300.
And the board tabled action to approve expanded use of the Fitness Building until next month.
