(KAIR) -- About 20 percent of Benedictine College’s 17 hundred students will head to Washington D.C. next week to attend the annual March for Life.
President Steve Minnis says students will join hundreds of thousands of others on January 25th, taking 48 hour round-trip bus ride.

Minnis says the college has sent representation for several years to the event in various numbers, but the interest has seen considerable growth since the mid-90s.

He says in speaking with students ready to go for the first time, he hopes they come back with an enlightened perspective.

Minnis says several alums and student’s parents will join them in D.C., as well as alum Terry Gainer, Sergeant of Arms for the U.S. Senate, who is also busy organizing the Presidential Inauguration, will host a reception for the BC delegation after the march.
