(KAIR) -- Eight Atchison County Officials were sworn into office Monday afternoon, four of which, are elected for the first time.
Sheriff Jack Laurie, Register of Deeds Shelley Campbell, Third District Atchison County Commissioner Bill Pohl were sworn in for the first time.
Also, Commissioner Mike Bodenhausen, who was appointed last year to finish an unexpired term, was elected to his first full term.
Sheriff Laurie says he has a few short-term goals to address upon taking office.

Atchison County Commissioners also held their re-organizational meeting Monday afternoon, re-electing Jeff Schuele Chairman and Mike Bodenhausen as Vice-Chair.
