(KAIR) -- In the wake of the elevated reports of flu cases in the region and nationwide, the Atchison Internal Medicine and Family Practice Clinic will be holding an emergency walk-in flu vaccine clinic.
The clinic be Thursday from two until six in the doctors building at the Atchison Hospital.
Director of Clinic Operations Marty Zumbrunn says the frequent reports of outbreaks throughout the nation prompted the hospital to hold the clinic.

Zumbrunn confirms an increase of clinic patients as well as hospital patients in recent weeks due to the flu.
In the meantime, Zumbrunn says there are many ways to do your part in preventing the spread of disease.

Citizens attending the clinic will be prompted to follow the signs to the clinic.
Certain insurances or a cash payment will be accepted for the shot.
