(KAIR) -- The Benedictine College Art Department is pleased to announce the opening and dedication of the McCarthy Gallery of Art.
The dedication will be Saturday evening at six on the second floor of Bishop Fink Hall in Atchison.
In addition to the opening dedication, the event will include comments and stories from friends and family of Dennis McCarthy, former Professor of Art at Benedictine College.
The opening exhibition, “Life Works of a Teacher," is a representative collection of the works of McCarthy and includes both sculptures and paintings.
The gallery, housed in Bishop Fink Hall, Room 204 (on the main level), was renovated this past summer thanks to donations from Karen Seaberg and the Cray Foundation.
The event is free and open to the public.
