(KAIR) -- Since 1982, Atchison has celebrated German heritage in the Commercial Street mall the first weekend in October.
That tradition will continue Saturday with the Junior Guild’s Oktoberfest from 10 until five.
Rita Hartman is a member of the Junior Guild and says all proceeds collected by them will stay in the community.

She says least 114 vendors are confirmed to participate.

Musical entertainment will also be on all three blocks throughout the day.
