Large Crowd Expected at Pawnee City Council Meeting

The Pawnee City Council meeting will once again be held in the Union Bank basement this (Monday) evening.  The meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m., is being moved to accommodate what is expected to be a larger than usual audience.
 The council will meet with auditor Julie Bauman at 7:45.  Bauman will present the council with a draft of the budget and levy.  The council will vote on the one-percent allowable growth for the next year. 
 Representatives from the Library Board and Library Foundation, along with Head Librarian Lola Seitz will present a draft of the Library budget that includes a 10.5-percent reduction.
 More discussion is scheduled on the recycling trailer.
 Zoning Administrator Clint Johnson will meet with the council, with an update on the wellhead protection program and the sewer plant project.
 Alan Richard is scheduled to meet with the council for an update on the assisted living facility.
 And the council will consider a resolution to enter into an agreement with the Village of Steinauer to provide kenneling services.
