(KAIR) -- The Community Blood Center will host a blood drive in Atchison Friday at the First Baptist Church on 1640 Riley Street.
The event will run from 12:30 to six and is sponsored by the Atchison Hospital Auxillary.
Organizer Virginia Voelker (Volk-ur) says they are in need for all types of blood and have a goal of 35 usable units.
Walk-ins are welcome, or appointments can be made by going to www.savealifenow.org and using the sponsor code atchisoncom.
Voelker says their advance appointments are currently ahead of the pace of their last blood drive.
