A vacant Atchison house that was found on fire Wednesday night remains under investigation as to its potential cause.
Atchison Fire Chief Mike McDermed says crews responded to 1001 Parallel just after 11.

McDermed says crews have returned to the scene to investigate the situation and attempt to locate the property owner Thursday.
He says it’s still unknown whether the weather played a role in the fire.
McDermed says crews contained the fire in around 30 minutes.
