(KLZA)--The Missouri Corn Growers Association and Northwest Corn Growers will be holding an informational meeting for corn growers at a new location, the Fulkerson Center at Missouri Western College, this year. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, with registration at 8:30 a.m. The formal meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 3:00 p.m. All farmers and those from adjoining states are welcomed to attend. Lunch is provided by local and regional agribusinesses.
Dan Basse, president of Ag Resource will discuss grain markets and market outlook for the 2016 season and beyond. Jill Clapperton, a scientist with Rhizoterra, will discuss ways to manage soil health. Bryce Anderson, DTN, will provide a weather outlook for 2016.
A legislative update will be provided by Congressman Sam Graves’s office. Richard Fordyce, Missouri Department of Agriculture Director, will also provide an update of happenings regarding Missouri agriculture. Representatives from Missouri Corn Association will provide updates and important information to their membership throughout the meeting.
