In the end 33 provisional’s were counted to the final tally, making the total voter turnout for Atchison County at just over 19 percent.

The new state law that was enacted July 1st, requiring voters to present a photo ID at the polls was considered a non-issue by Commissioners, as five individuals didn’t present identification.

The new voter tallies are expected to be posted on the county’s web site at www.atchisoncountyks.org at some point in the near future.
